Implementing a health awareness program about the seriousness of skin diseases

SDHGF implements a health awareness program about the seriousness of skin diseases and their increase in the summer for female inmates (Female prisoners) in the Central Prison Facility. It was implemented by SDHGF in coordination with Together Foundation for Human Development and funded by the Penal Reform Organization and the Dutch government within the project (Prisoners’ Health is a Right) A health awareness program about the seriousness of skin diseases and their impact on humans, methods of infection transmission between patients, and how to prevent them during the summer period, as this activity is considered within the general plan of the prisoners’ health project, as awareness and educational activities will continue during the coming period to be greatly benefited from in order to prevent the spread of contagious skin diseases among prisoners, awareness was raised about scabies, eczema, and skin rashes, as well as the importance of personal hygiene and hand washing. In the next phase, interactive theaters will be created that will raise health awareness among the inmates of the importance of personal hygiene as the most important pillar of protection against infectious skin diseases.
