An introductory workshop on the project to rebuild education and empower youth in the governorates of Hodeidah and Amanat Al-Asimah (Sana’a). Under the auspices of the Acting Governor of the governorate, Mr. Muhammad Ayash Qahim, and in coordination with SCMCHA in Hodeidah, CARE, in coordination with SDHGF, implemented the introductory workshop for the project to rebuild education and empower youth in Hodeidah and Amanat Al-Asimah (Sana’a). The workshop, which was held at the headquarters of SDHGF, aimed to introduce 20 participants from the government sectors in the targeted governorates to how to access education characterized by a better level of quality and equality from the ages of five to 18 years, from the first primary grade to the third secondary grade. In the workshop, which was attended by the Director of SCMCHA Mr. Jaber Al-Razhi, the Undersecretary of the Governorate Mr. Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Muhammad, indicated the importance of the workshop in empowering young men and women to develop their skills to improve their living conditions, in addition to working to rehabilitate a number of schools in the targeted districts of the project. He appreciated the support of the CARE Organization and SDHGF for the educational and vocational process in the governorate, stressing the support of the governorate leadership to implement these projects that qualify young people and contribute to the rehabilitation of the education infrastructure in the governorate. Al-Razhi explained the necessity of obtaining the correct information for the needs of the education sector in any targeted districts according to a field visit and an assessment from the ground, due to the importance of this in facilitating the tasks of organizations and institutions working in the humanitarian and development field, praising the efforts of Yemen Care and SDHGF development and the services they provide to the community. For his part, the workshop coordinator, Muhammad Shamsan, explained that the project comes within the framework of Yemen Care and SDHGF sensing the importance of education and the need to pay attention to its outputs. For his part, the coordinator of the Foundations for Building the Future Project, Ms. Manal Al-Shamiri, spoke about the effective role that SDHGF contributes in the fields of education and empowering youth and providing them with life skills. Also, he indicated that the project aims to rehabilitate ten public schools in the districts of Zabid, Al-Jarrahi, Bajil, Al-Zaydiyah, Al-Dhahi and Al-Maghlaf, and to improve the quality of education in them and to provide young people of both sexes with experience in professional and technical works through vocational and technical training on basic life skills. The directors of the education offices in the governorate Mr. Omar Bahr, technical education Mr. Hassan Hudish, the media Mr. Adel Makki, and the general directors of the targeted districts attended the workshop.
