ورشة تشاورية حول إشراك المرأة في صناعة القرار

As part of the “Social and Economic Recovery and Women’s Participation in Yemen” project implemented by the Girls of Hawdiah Foundation with support from the United Nations Women and funding from the Women for Peace and Humanitarian Action Fund in Taiz and Al-Hodeidah governorates, the Hawdiah Development Foundation supported the Hor Foundation for Development and Peacebuilding to conduct a consultative workshop on women’s involvement in decision-making. The workshop was held in Taiz governorate for 15 participants, including young leaders, local authorities, representatives of political parties, and civil society organizations, with the aim of enhancing the role of women in decision-making. Attendees, including political party representatives, local authority representatives, civil society organizations, and activists, discussed the concept of women’s involvement in decision-making and the impact of their involvement, or lack thereof, on social justice and sustainable development. The participants also discussed the role of women in decision-making, analyzed the current situation and challenges of women’s participation, and reviewed policies and legislative procedures to promote women’s participation in decision-making, in order to develop specific policies related to women’s role in decision – making.
