SDHGF inaugurates the distribution of seeds to twenty thousand beneficiaries in the districts of Al-Sukhna and Beit Al-Faqih within the project of sensitive response to food security and integrated nutrition with the support of FAO. SDHGF with the support of FAO, launched the distribution of seeds, and it includes five crops, which are tomatoes, onions, okra, radishes and hot peppers, and its quantity is estimated at 52 tons, of which 14 tons will be distributed in Al-Sukhna district to 5,364 male and female beneficiaries, and through 4 centers. 38 tons will be distributed in Bait Al-Faqih district to 14,636 beneficiaries. In 12 distribution centers, the distribution process will also be accompanied by awareness-raising and community mobilization in the villages to push the beneficiaries to the distribution centers and make them aware of the importance of planting vegetable seeds in home gardens and urging them to max use of these seeds. On the other hand, 6 training sessions were implemented for 25 volunteers from Al-Sukhna district and 70 volunteers in Bait Al-Faqih. The training included several topics, but the most important of which are malnutrition, integrated nutrition, and the cultivation and production of vegetables in home gardens. After this training, females beneficiaries will be trained directly in the two districts. From his part, the project manager, Mr. Muhammad Musa Ghareb , confirmed that these crops will be distributed to the poorest families who have children under the age of five and pregnant and lactating women who suffer from malnutrition in the targeted villages. Ms. Dalia Qassem Farea, the head of the Foundation, praised the great role of this project in alleviating the suffering of families in the targeted areas, as the cultivation of these crops will benefit all of them.
