Economic Empowerment of Displaced Women
The Snapel Tehama Foundation, through the Social and Economic Recovery and Women’s Participation project in Yemen, supported by the Girls of Hodeidah Foundation with the backing of the United Nations Women and the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Work Fund, provided assistance for the economic empowerment of displaced women. This support included the implementation of a training workshop for the production of incense and perfumes. The workshop targeted 20 participants from displaced women and the host community in the Hays Directorate of Hodeidah Governorate.
The objective of this training workshop, conducted by the Snapel Tehama Foundation from June 12, 2023, to June 15, 2023, was to economically empower displaced women and the host community, enhance women’s role in decision-making, and enable their active participation in economic and social life.
This activity is part of the efforts of the Social and Economic Recovery and Women’s Participation project in Yemen, which aims to enhance women’s capacities, enable them to live with dignity, and contribute to the development of their communities.
