SDHGF, in partnership with the Yemeni Business Club, launched yesterday, January 21, 2017, Karama project in Al Mansuriayah district which started with a workshop for youth, which was entitled “Field Survey and Study of Community Needs” for 20 young men and women from Al-Mansuriyah and Al-Hudaydah, in the presence of the Director of the district of Al Mansouriya, Mr.Saeed Musa Hakami, the representative of the governorate, MraYoussef Muhammad Seif, and the director of the health office, Mr.Dawood Al-Bajali. The workshop was opened by Ms. Buthaina Al-Selwi, “Karama Project Officer of SDHGF who introduced the Foundation and Yemeni Business Club, mentioning how the idea of Karama project came , and what are the targeted areas in this project. The Director of the district , Mr. Saeed Hakami, and the governorate delegate, Mr. Youssef Muhammad Saif, stressed the importance of studying the needs of the community and knowing the suffering of people in particular to provide service accurately and the importance of the role of youth and the need for cooperation of all parties to serve the community ..     In her turn, Ms. Dalia Qasim Farea introduced the youth about what the project is and the mechanism for implementing it in the field and what is their role, then she began to explain the field survey mechanism, what tools are used in the field survey, the mechanism for studying the needs of the community, measuring what are the most important interventions for these communities, and what forms will be used. The workshop included many Activities and workgroups.   It is worth noting that this workshop will be followed by an introductory workshop for community leaders to facilitate work in the field, in which a field survey will be conducted for the villages of Deir Saj and Al-Sha’ab in Al-Mansuriya district to study the needs of the two villages and families.
